Zoe’s guitar voice on all her recordings from “Girls with Guitars” to “ Electrical Gas” has been down to the combination of her Marshall AVT275 amp and her Amtech Age-Pro Echo Unit. As well as contributing to her signature sound the people at Marshall and Amtech have been hugely supportive of Zoe over the years and Zoe has been more than happy to endorse their products.
Zoe has an AVT275 Marshall amp which she uses in the UK and Europe and over in America she also has an AVT150 which is looked after by a friend. Zoe also has 2 Amtech Age-Pro Echo Units 1 for Europe and 1 for America and Japan where they use 110v.
The weight of the Marshall Amp makes it difficult when she has to fly anywhere but Marshall have always arranged for a loan amp to be available in the country she is touring. When she toured Japan Marshall’s A&R people organised an AVT275 to be delivered to the venue of her first concert. However, when Zoe had a concert in Finland, Marshall could not offer her an amp the same as she was use to because that amp is not distributed in Finland.
It was suggested that the Marshall TSL100 would be the perfect amp for her as it, like the AVT275 had 3 switchable channels. When she arrived at the concert there was a TSL100 stack waiting for her. After spending some time taming this amp Zoe fell in love with it. She was very tempted to purchase a TSL100 stack when she got back to the UK but the size was simply too big for her car to carry.
Recently however Marshall introduced the TSL100 replacement and it came as a combo. The amp is the JVM410C an all valve amp with 4 channels. All the reviews of this amp suggested it would be perfect for Zoe so she purchased one. The amp is everything she could dream of and will give her all sounds that the AVT275 had but bigger and more, a lot more. The new JVM410C is one serious Marshall tone machine and Zoe is delighted with it.
