When flying with a much loved and expensive guitar Zoe was always worried about it being damaged in the hold. A tip she picked up from Bruce Welch was to put the guitar in a soft gig bag and carry it on. This worked well and the guitar usually traveled in the first class wardrobe. On one trip this was full and Zoe had to put it in an over head locker. Then someone forced a bag on top of it. The result was the guitar needed major work when back in the UK. Had this happened on the flight out to America the tour would have been ruined.
While at the Wembley Guitar show Zoe discovered Scott Dixon Cases and purchase a flight case for her Custom Shop Strat. On her next trip to the USA she took the guitar in this case and it still was accepted as a carry on. The following year she was back in the USA after recording the Gypsy Noodle album on which she use two guitars. It was decided that another Scott Dixon case was needed as one guitar would certainly have to go in the hold this time. The guitars arrived safely and during rehearsals with Mason Williams and Nokie Edwards for Mason's show in Nashville Zoe could see Nokie taking a lot of interest in her guitar case. Shortly after that Nokie started using Scott Dixon cases for his much loved Hitchhiker guitar.
Zoe has been so pleased with the Scott Dixon Cases she has had two made for her Amtech Age Pro Echoe Units which have traveled the world with her. In 2007 Zoe went to Music Live at the NEC and was introduced to the new 3 guitar case (shown on this page). This case has wheels on it and can be push with one hand and it doubles up as a stage stand.
Zoe fully endorses Scott Dixon Cases to look after her guitars in transit. They are not only strong but they also look great and turn heads even before they are opened.
